Thoughts worth thinking

"Good ideas are not adopted automatically. They must be driven into practice with courageous patience."  ~Hyman Rickover

Happy Monday, -- I would like to encourage you to take your ideas more seriously.  Keep these following things in mind the next time you have an idea:
  1. Your idea was inspired. Ideas just come to us. They appear out of nowhere. Ever consider it might not have come from you?
  2. Not all ideas are the same size. Just because its big, don't talk yourself out of it.
  3. Your idea is not the end, it is a means. We don't grow ideas, they grow us.
  4. Your idea will not magically become real. You will have to diligently apply yourself over time. But your idea becomes more real every step.
  5. If you hoard or guard your idea you will lose it. Instead, serve others with it and give it away. The moment you do better ideas will follow.
When an idea comes to you this week, write it down. Then ponder it. Google it. Research it and learn about it. Within one hour, you can find your next step. Don't worry about anything beyond the next step-then do it. Personal well-being will be right behind you. If you choose to ignore your idea, never ever ever ever ever complain about your life again, because you have cut off the only means of changing it.

Neumaudio: "Closer to the Heart"
The world sings so much about how to make this world a better place. There is no way we could live in our culture and not see the need for things to improve. And so it has over the years. Slow and steady progress. It's more than just human achievement, its a voice and a message that has gone out to all people in many ways. It's a message we need to heed today. This song by Rush is a perfect example. Enjoy.
Thanks to all of you who are following me on twitter and FB. My commitment is that every tweet will add value to your life.
