Happy Monday ! -- This passage is describing apathetic people. Have you ever got to the place where you just didn't care? If so, you might just be tired. If however you don't care that you don't care, then you are dwelling in apathy.
We all can recognize an apathetic teenager but can we recognize our own apathy if it creeps in?
Have you...
-
Secretly rejoiced at the struggle or failures of others?
- Become increasingly skeptical of new ideas or those who are optimistic?
- Willingly created obstacles for others or tried to impede their progress?
- Convinced yourself that success stories are rare events for the really lucky?
- Always hedged your bets?
An apathetic heart is the opposite of a loving heart. The latter is intentionally giving yourself while the former is intentionally refusing to give anything.
Apathy is a common problem. It is both personal and societal. It is a byproduct of living in bondage. It is a derivative of fear and power cultures. It is the gift of fundamentalism.
There is a way out. It's possible to be repotted and begin to liberate and thrive. We can play above the net. We can follow the voice of wisdom.
While the path of liberation will cost us dearly, it is not as costly as living an apathetic life.
Find someone this week who is stuck and encourage them to pursue their dreams.
