Repot
YOUR
Health.
there are millions

of people who

have

malnutrition,  and

are

overweight!"

- Patricia Compton
Good morning!

I know many of you will start this morning with a nice cup of coffee. I will too, only mine will be decaf.

If you are anything like I was, then the thought of giving up caffeine is like cutting off your right arm. But have you considered that stimulants mask poor nutrition?

We really need to redefine malnutrition. Most think of 3rd world children and that is certainly true. But very few see the malnutrition that is common in our society, such as:
  • The coffee, energy drinks, and sugar that mask the deficiency of vital nutrients that keep us lucid, awake, and energetic.
  • The extra fat that we can never seem to lose. Many are trapped in a cycle of staying overweight because their fat is protecting them from their malnutrition.
  • The person who looks super fit on the outside but is starving of vital nutrition because they load up on supplements and frankenfood.
Here are a few tips that I hope will help you think about your health.
  1. Don't wait for a New Year's Resolution. Today is the only day you can do anything about.
  2. Get a coach. Your resources have brought you right where you are. To go further, you need the help of others.
  3. Your health is an expression of how you understand and apply truth. Don't minimize its significance.
Leadership and health are both byproducts of our internal victories. Should we expect success in one area and not the other?

What happened when I repotted?

In February I REPOTTED my health. I began following the leadership of my wife who is a Health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I began making incremental changes that have had a profound health benefit. My goal was to eat less sugar (for those who don't know, I was a major sugarholic)

Today, I am free of living from sugar rush to sugar rush. I eat very few processed foods and I eat an 85% organic vegetable diet.

My cholesterol which used to be 230 is now under 200. My blood pressure is down from 130/85 (with medication) to 115/ 77 with my meds reduced by 75%. (I hope to soon be off of them.) I no longer need two mountain dews in the middle of the day, I have energy all day long and I even drink decaf coffee in the morning.

I share all of this because health is a focus in which we all can do better. It's also something that so greatly impacts each of our lives, our moods, our ability to serve and thrive in the world. A better world means a healthier world.

If I can do this so can you. But like you, I couldn't do it on my own.  I needed a new pot. I needed new paradigms to understand my worldview of health.  That is what a health coach does.

Contact Kimberly or someone like her to get started.

Do I really need a coach?
We would never try and compete with a top athlete without a coach. We would never assume we could just figure it out on our own. So why do we do this with our health, our careers, and our greatest hopes of life? Coaching needs to be a vital part of our lives. Follow my 1% Rule!
