Starry-eyed Realists.

"To be realistic today is to be visionary. To be realistic is to be starry-eyed." ~Hubert H. Humphrey
Good morning !
All people possess a beautiful capacity for vision. This is different than eyesight.  Vision is our ability to view some aspect of our world far better than it presently is.

Sometimes this vision is diminished or even discouraged by others who call themselves "realists." These are people who  limit the amount of "possibility" they allow into their worldview.
  • It makes them feel safe.
  • It's a way of hedging their bets.
  • It's playing defense and betting on the worst outcomes.
  • It's a form of pride.
Our world is changing. It is advancing in so many positive ways that it is mind blowing. Of course if you are hypnotized and distracted by the daily "news" then progress is likely obscured from your view.

Perhaps what we all need is a healthy dose of perspective. The book "Abundance" by Peter Diamandis and Steven Kotler is a must read. Prepare to have your possibility muscle stretched.

Visionaries are needed to bring us into the coming world. Visionaries are those that have their hope set on the possibilities and not on the challenges. We live in an unbelievably better world because visionaries knew it could be real. Thus nothing is more realistic than a visionary. Nothing beats the power of possibility.

Let's not get to the last hour of our last day and realize we mistakenly traded possibility for what we thought was realism.

"...with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Spring is near.
Dormant optimism pokes through first.
More light, please.
More warmth.
Renewal comes just in time.
Hope and possibility converge.
Spring is here.
