We are now concluding the "AND" series. If you missed any part of it and would like to revisit it, please click

AND is the conjunction that joins seemingly apposed opposites. When applied to the self, it means you are a dialectic. I can't tell you how important it will be for you to truly grasp and come to peace with the reality that you are not either one thing or another, but both AND.
We are up AND down.
We are
moving AND stagnated.
We are rich AND poor.
We are living AND dying.
We are good AND bad.
We are right AND wrong.
We are sinners AND completely loved & accepted.
We are physical AND spiritual.
I wove this conjunction theme into an introduction to Integral theory or spiral dynamics
because my purpose has been to help widen your conscious awareness.
Now that we have the categories to see the development of our personal as well as our corporate consciousness, we have a new lens through which to see the world. And trust me, a new perspective changes everything-- In fact, it is the only thing that has ever changed anything.
Let's say you are
stuck somewhere in your life. Maybe in your career, your relationships, your finances, your health, or your spiritual growth. If you are waiting for a change of circumstances to get UNSTUCK, you could be in for a very long wait.
BUT
If you begin today or this week with a new perspective, then even if the circumstances have not changed, your well-being can be completely altered.
It is
well-being or "SHALOM" (peace in the whole of life) is actually what we all want. We think that a particular job, or relationship, or religion, or house, or title, or amount of money will bring us well-being so we jump on the treadmill and begin to work ourselves down. We spend our years without ever living our lives. Or as Jesus put it, we gain the world and forfeit our very self (Luke 9:25).
This newsletter and the content I produce
is for the sole purpose of helping you to gain a new and powerful perspective. From my experience, the biggest frameshift in thinking is to move beyond dualistic (black & white) thinking.
For example: You can argue till you are blue in the face that it is daytime. You can point right at the evidence of the sun shining on your face. You can measure the warmth of the sunlight and while it may be true that it is day for
you, that will not be all that is true. If you possessed a wide enough perspective, you would see that while it is daytime, it is also night, and in that moment you would never diminish someone with a different perspective.
In fact arguing about the sun would lose its significance. Something bigger would displace being right.
If you need help gaining a new perspective, please don't hesitate to reach out to
