Do you want the best year possible? Or are you just going to see how it goes? Try these questions out to see if you are ready to be proactive or reactive.
1. Have you brought excellence to all you have done in 2012? If not, what will change in order to do so in 2013?
2. Do you have a complete understanding of the causes that prevented you from reaching some of your goals in 2012?
3. If yes to #2, are you willing to make the necessary changes in the coming year? What system will you utilize to check your motives?
4. Do you have a plan for 2013? Is it realistic, detailed, and executable, or is it just a hope in the back of your mind?
5. Who is in your "Cabinet of Experts"? Are you going to face 2013 on your own, or seek inspiration and help from others? Are you willing to be built up by others?
6. Are your goals a means to an end or an end in themselves? Do you know the difference?
7. If you die next year, will you come to your last hour with regrets? If so, rework your plan accordingly.
8. What pain points are you seeking to avoid next year? This will help you see your "wanter".
9. Will any of your goals matter in 100 years? Will they matter to anyone else?
10. Will you do one thing toward a better 2013 before you go to bed tonight?
