"We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive."

Good Morning-- Those of you who know me well know that I don't lack ambition or moderation. Once I decide to do something, I go "all in."

If you've been following the "Best Year Possible" series you know that I pursue a personal and professional goal each year. This year my personal goal was to understand what it meant for me to live authentically. (Sounds cliche, but its not an easy thing) I am endeavoring to live in such a way that I really understand my bend and then developing a non-stick coating for anything that isn't in alignment.  So far I like the results.

In this process I've come to a place where I'm feeling inspired to NOT do something. In fact, I'm going to take a few weeks and learn a bit more about being still.  This isn't about taking "time off" or even "time to myself" but a sort of fast from lunging after stuff. I think this will help me get at some of my motivations.  In the end its about making certain I make forward progress as much as possible. None of us should ever settle for mediocrity.

So I hope you'll grant me this hiatus and keep me in your thoughts and prayers. What this means for you is that your inbox will be free from these emails in the coming weeks, but rest assured, I'll be back after I give myself to this non-project. Feel free to start a pool as to whether I will go crazy or not.
