Thoughts worth Thinking: May 7th

Published: Tue, 05/07/13

"Action springs not from thought, but from readiness for responsibility."
    ~Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Happy Tuesday !  Did you think I forgot about you? I delayed this week's thought because I wanted to illustrate how delaying action is mostly just inaction. It is like trying to surf behind the wave.

Yes there is a time and a place for "reflection and retreat," and as I have tried to model for you this year, we need to pause and evaluate our motives behind our actions.

But suppose our motives are solid and inspired toward excellence, beauty, and others, then delaying action is more like disobedience, because the world is counting on us.

Just a delay of one day, or even one hour, can expose the void where we were expected to show up. And in that void, assumptions and the gravity of life will replace the light and inspiration we bring everyday to the world.

Action IS our Event Horizon!

The worst kind of inaction is when it is action on the wrong things. When our doing and our passions don't speak.

You know that project, initiative or idea we've been thinking about for so long? Well the world is ready for us to take responsibility for it. Today.

Have a great week.

Re-Potting your life.
I kind of feel like Dick Van Dyke in the movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" where he had some contraption he was working on in the shed.

Then one day it came out.

It looked like other cars, but it could go where others could not.

What started as rebuild of the foundation has turned into an infrastructure for really helping people and I get more excited about it every day.

I can tell you its all about "Re-Potting" people who are root bound in their formative containers, focussing in the following areas:
  • Business
  • Health
  • Spirit
  • Community
I've always been a catalyst. I've always pushed the boundaries. I've always strayed from the herd. My ideas are always unconventional and I finally got to where I'm actually willing to be myself. How about you?

Dick Van Dyke's character was asked:
"Is that all you do Mr. Potts, invent things?"

Turns out, the car can fly.  Can't wait to take you for a ride.
