The Thought: April 15
"A man on foot, on horseback or on a bicycle will see more, feel more, enjoy more in one mile than the motorized tourists can in a hundred miles."
-Edward Abbey

This photo is from a mtn bike ride I took in the desert mountains outside of Las Vegas. I had forgotten how important it is to experience solitude. There is something about "vastness" that allows us to see our "smallness".

It's about perspective.

This perspective doesn't minimize the significance of our roles in society and our service to others, it fuels it.

It exposes necessary tensions.

On one hand we quickly perceive that we are not as influential as we imagine ourselves to be. On the other, it shows us that our lives are not insignificant because there are always people who would notice if we never came back.

Strangely, isolation bubbles to the surface any self-pity that is captive in our thinking. I recommend staying alone until it is purged. Nothing good ever follows self-pity.

Find a path and you just might find yourself. The world will improve when you come back.

Have a great week.
What's Up with Getting Better LLC?
Image
Many of you have asked what is up with Getting Better?  Well, I've been inspired to open my hand to the company and to give the entire thing away. It wasn't an easy thing to do, but necessary for progress.

I have given it to L2 Church (www.L2today.com) and they will ensure the tools and services remain available to people and will do so as a ministry to others rather than as a business model. In the end I think more people will benefit from the content.
What is the Thrive Community Foundation?

The Thrive Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that I started 2 years ago and have recently renamed. It will be the infrastructure from which myself and others will help people to truly thrive in this world.

It's all about repotting people who don't realize they are root bound in their formative containers.

The website and logo will be coming soon where you can get all the details. If you want more now, just drop me an email. keven.winder@gmx.com

For those of you who have been following "The Best Year Possible" and desire to view the rest of the series, I will need to hear from you.
As I review the video clicks, only a minority of folks were going through them. I'm more than happy to continue if I hear from you.
Have a GREAT week!
